Powers
The St. Croix twins have many – and I do mean many – superpowers, including the ability to combine together to become one, abilities as one to have similar powers to that of Monet, telepathy, teleportation, and others.
History
For years the girl we thought was Monet was actually the missing twins, Nicole and Claudette, posing as their missing sister who at the time was actually Penance. They eventually replaced Monet in the Penance body, but then later were freed. They are now back with their father in Europe.

Claudia is autistic, which explained why “Monet” at times went into trances.

It was the plan from day one for “Monet” to be the twins. Says Lobdell, “From BEFORE her first appearance, the plan was to have her split after that wall fell on her . . . they would go through the wreckage and find the TWINS! After that, EMMA and SEAN were going to be forced to make a truly difficult decision: Do you allow the TWINS to stay together as the supper powered M__thereby putting their lives in constant danger__or do you force them to stay apart and live relatively normal lives (except that would mean the autistic one would never know the freedom she enjoyed as M! Ahhhh, the tragedy.) As you can see, they strayed as FAR away from the original idea as possible.”
